ECCLESIATES 2:26 (2009 Annual Spiritual Meeting - Acts-11-0203)

Eccl 2:26For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Does this verse mean that the treasures amassed by sinners will be distributed to those whom God is pleased with? God is a righteous God, so does God really takes the wealth of sinners to give to those whom He is pleased with?

Those who are good before God are righteous in the sight of God. The riches they will receive are not the riches of this world.

God will bless those who are good and considered righteous before Him. Originally everyone has the opportunity to receive God’s blessings. However, as sinners are not good before God, their blessings have been allocated to the righteous.

Job 27:16-1716Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay; 17He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

Those who are evil cannot receive God’s blessings; they have to bear afflictions and punishments in place of the righteous.

Prov 11:8The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

God has truly poured down His grace on everyone. His Truth is also fairly preached to everyone. However, those who do not submit to God will not receive this blessing. Only the righteous who submit to the will of God will be able to receive this promised blessing. This is the righteousness of God.

Rom 2:8-118But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. 9Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11For there is no respect of persons with God.

God will punish those who obey unrighteousness and do not obey the truth.

From the above verses we know that those who obey God and practise righteousness will receive God’s blessings for them. Those who do not obey the truth and the teachings of God will not receive these blessings. God’s blessings are reserved only for those who keep the Word and practise righteousness.

God does not really snatch the wealth of the evil to give to those who are good before Him. Although God intends to give blessings to everyone, those who are unworthy will not receive these blessings for they will be given to those who are good before God.

The Bible teaches us to submit to God. We can please God only by submitting to Him. When the world undergoes trials and temptations, only those who obey God will be spared.

Rev 3:10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This is the grace that God will give to those who obey Him. God has mercy on those who obey Him. He knows the severity of our trials. He will open a way for us so that we may continue to endure and persevere to the end.

All glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Amen.
