HE WHO IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME! (Part II) (MATT. 12:30UP)

II. Be With God In The Word

Only those who are born of the Word are with God.

John 1:1-2 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.

John 1:12-13 12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

We must not go against the truth. Rather, we must obey the truth completely so that we can be united in the words of truth.

Rom. 16:26 but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith--

1Tim. 6:20-21 20O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge-- 21by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

Eph. 4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

1. Faith

Do not be the simple who believes every word.

Prv. 14:15 The simple believes every word, But the prudent considers well his steps.

Prv. 8:5 O you simple ones, understand prudence, And you fools, be of an understanding heart.

Prv. 1:32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them;

We must use the Scripture as our standard and not pervert the words of the living God.

Isa. 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

2Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

Jas. 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

We must believe all that are written in the Scripture and ignore all that are not written in it.

2Cor. 1:18 But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No.

Rev. 22:18-19 18For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Deu. 12:32 Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Jer. 26:2LP …, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Do not diminish a word.

Prv. 30:6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

We must hold fast to our faith, for those who fail to manifest their faith are against the truth.

Tit. 1:9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.

Jas. 3:14-15 14But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

2. Be Submissive

We must prostrate ourselves in submission! We must always respect the truth, place the Word before us as our guide, and walk in the Way to attain sanctification.

1Pet. 3:15UP But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, …;

Ps. 99:5 Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His footstool-- He is holy.

Prv. 15:33UP The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom,….

Ps. 16:8-9 8 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

Ps. 73:22-25 22I was so foolish and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. 23Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. 24You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory. 25Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.

Ps. 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

3. Be Rooted

He who keeps the words of God abides in Him and is rooted in His doctrine.

Hos. 6:3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

Col. 2:6-7 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

1John 3:24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1John 2:5-6 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Those who abide in the words of God are not condemned.

John 3:18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Ps. 34:22 The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptised will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
